There are seasons in life when things appear still. No announcements. No launches. No dramatic shifts. From the outside, it can look like stagnation. But internally, something else may be unfolding. 

There is a passage in a piece I have struggled with for most of my playing life. For years I fought it. I drilled it slowly, then fast, then angry, then desperate. The harder I fought the tighter my hand became, until the very tension I was fighting had taken up residence in my forearm. Krishnamurti put it in five words: the thing you fight, you become.

Ask any working musician what carried them through the unglamorous decade — the empty rooms, the broken gear, the gigs that paid in beer — and almost none of them will say discipline. Discipline is the scaffolding. The thing that actually holds the building up is passion.

Why has man created the society and culture in which we live? Thought, being fragmentary, cannot possibly solve the things it has created. You can face the fact only if you are actually listening to the fact. If thought cannot change me, what will? One must find out if there is a totally different kind of energy not brought about through conflict. Can the mind, consciousness, empty itself of itself to find out if there is a totally different kind of energy?

Krishnamurti believed that every aspect of life is interconnected. He explored nature of truth and freedom, and taught people that truth can be discovered by anyone and doesn’t require an authority figure. The daily meditations are organized by months focusing on topics such as:
